Information, analysis, documentation – with the line documentation system

A substantial argument for introducing an automatic data recording and analysis tool is, besides assessing line efficiency, its capability to secure all of the data that makes batch tracking possible. The Krones line documentation system (LDS) performs this automatic data acquisition role. The centrally stored operating data can be used for real-time and historic appraisal of production performance. Visualisation and trend displays are standardised for all line components so that all operators use the same user interface.  Besides the acquisition of all disturbance data, counters and analog values, the system also documents the consumption data for energy and media.
So the line documentation system allows for quick detection of weak points in the process and determination of the degree of line efficiency. For this purpose, the LDS evaluates all data, such as production and consumption figures, operation and filling times. Statistical Excel evaluations indicate the cost-effectiveness of the plant and allow the process to be controlled.

• The visualisation module gives the line operator a quick overview of the current statuses of the complete line and individual components. 
•  Trending displays the process data. The automatic recording of analog values such as temperature and mixing ratios during production allows the quality of the product to be accurately assessed.
• By means of process flow charts, the LDS system is able to document, for example, the function in the system for each single filler valve on a time basis. Possible malfunctions can be traced.
• Technical reports inform the decision makers. For example, reports on operating downtimes, efficiency, plant utilisation, consumption values, pressures, temperatures or batches can be generated.
