Packaging technology for shipping spirits
A high product quality is the credo of the distillery Nolet which has been making spirits for ten generations. With Ketel 1 und Ketel One, the Dutch enterprise in Schiedam is producing famous spirits with upmarket quality and appearance. A new line is to continue this tradition. It is a matter of course that the high-quality products can be packed only with Krones technology.
The finished bottles pass over a buffer table on their way to the Wrapapac W45 carton packer, which provides a variety of packaging options. Specifically for export consignments, a partition is additionally inserted into the 6-bottle and 12-bottle full-size cartons, offering a high degree of safety in transit. But the machine can also pack the products on full-depth trays as display cartons, which are then palletised with layer pads. The cartons are fed to the Wrapapac automatically by means of a carton storage table. This buffer stack can accommodate about 500 cartons at a conveniently high level, thus facilitating top-up for the operator.
The Wrapapac packer operates according to the inline principle, i. e., container and blanks feed are positioned on top of each other. The passive unfolding unit handles the packs gently and forms them accurately. The Wrapapac is provided at speeds of 30, 45 or 60 cycles per minute. It is available as wrap-around machine, with or without tray handling and with or without shrink tunnel.
