• Filtration
  Besides clarifying the beer by removing yeast cells and other turbidity-formers, one crucial goal of all filtration measures is to improve the beer’s stability and shelf-life.

• Thermal product treatment
  The two classical techniques for extending a beer’s shelf-life, flash pasteurisation and tunnel pasteurisation, reflect two different philosophies.
