IntraVUE for network monitoring

Once Krones had decided to make increased use of Industrial Ethernet for its lines in the future, it had to identify a suitable tool for commissioning and maintenance.  For network and equipment monitoring, Krones is therefore using IntraVUE, a tool that automatically creates the network topology involved and provides cyclical monitoring of network status and inter-device communication. IntraVUE is thus ideally suited for supporting both the commissioning process and the subsequent production. Its web capability allows to view the status of clients’ lines – after he has enabled the service - and to support him online upon request at the network support department.
IntraVUE both reduces commissioning times and speeds up documentation of the network and its subscribers. With IntraVUE, the clients get an easy-to-operate tool, enabling even IT laypersons to swiftly detect any communication problems. The system provides both operators and maintenance staff with useful information on the network’s current performance capabilities and on the status of the Ethernet devices subscribed to the network concerned.
