The Sander Hansen tunnel pasteurizer concept incorporates a range of innovative features: 

• Easy-access design.
• Main conveyors made of stainless steel, plastic, or the innovative "Marathon belt" with low-friction belt rollers.  With only half the pull of conventional belts, yet significantly stronger. Superior carrying surface. Stainless steel links assure the solid non-stretch strength of the system.
• Spray pans or spray tubes for reliable and uniform container spraying.
• Buffer systems for optimum energy utilisation. The control system of the pasteuriser optimises the choice of buffer water by comparing the data available to the specific demand at a given time.
• Chess system for maximum water and steam savings.  
• Multi-Criteria Control: Control system considering more than PU’s only. For example a demand to satisfy a specific PU target and reach a predefined killing point temperature.
• Rotation Sweeper System for discharging the containers remaining on the infeed and discharge transfer plates when the pasteuriser is emptied or during product change-over.
