Boulevard Brewing – brewery expansion continues the success story

Boulevard Brewing Co., Kansas, is a household name in several US Midwest states. After its foundation in 1989, the brewery has expanded by 15 – 20 % in the last decade. But now, the brewing plant has reached its limits. In 2006, a new brewing plant with all the innovative modules of the Steinecker technology will be put into operation in an annexe on the premises. Boulevard´s new capacity will be 250,000 hl instead of 120,000 hl and 12 to 14 brews per day.
As Boulevard Brewing decided to buy the complete Steinecker innovation range including ShakesBeer, Pegasus and Stromboli, the most decisive points were the Pegasus and Stromboli systems. The brewery has already used Steinecker equipment and highly appreciated its potential. Pegasus allows a wide variety of malt bills for different beers. Due to the heavy loading, it is possible to add to the existing line-up of seasonal beers. The energy efficiency and the simplicity of the Stromboli systems is also of great value to John McDonald, the proprietor of the brewery. "We feel this will significantly increase the quality of our wort and lead to the best, most flavourful beer we can produce."
