Process technology for milk

With their realisation of an aseptic filling concept, which includes the sterile water ultra-heat treatment of dairy products in plastic bottles, the specialists at Krones are now also demonstrating their expertise in the dairy sector. Krones is supplying this line concept from a single source, without any interfaces, from the point when the milk is delivered right up to the logistics stage. The total responsibility also encompasses the power supply, the water and waste water treatment. The plants comprise pipe or plate heat exchangers with a defined heat retention section. Processes for mixing powdered ingredients or flavours with milk are offered as well. With powder dissolving and mixing, and liquid dosing systems, the dairy has the entire spectrum of equipment needed to manufacture mixed milk beverages at its disposal. Depending on how the process is defined, modular units are installed with a buffer tank, homogeniser, and the necessary pump and valve technology. This is followed by the heating modules, which are designed in the form of either a plate or pipe heat exchanger, depending on the process requirements.
