Good training is a worthwhile investment

Offering top-quality vocational and professional training is essential for maintaining a qualified workforce. For decades, Krones has offered motivated young people an attractive array of vocational training options. Krones is currently training more than 500 young people, preparing them outstandingly well for careers in 25 different fields. Each year, we invest around €70,000 in each of our young trainees.

In addition, Krones gives the next generation of scientists insight into industrial practice through practical semesters and thesis-writing opportunities. In 2009, we advised 178 degree candidates and 497 interns on a variety of projects with practical relevance. Krones gains a large number of highly qualified employees from this pool each year.

Innovative professional training options
Krones offers dual courses of study in collaboration with several universities. Graduates earn two degrees in just 4.5 years: a completed vocational training certificate and the Bachelor of Engineering academic title. Krones offers these dual courses of study for mechatronics, electrical engineering, information technology, process engineering, environmental engineering, and mechanical engineering.

»Profil 21« is the newest career programme at Krones, designed specifically for our field staff. Under this 4.5-year programme, young people earn a vocational training certificate plus the internationally recognised title of “state certified electrical technician”. Upon completing the programme, the participants are ideally prepared to handle the demands of Krones’ service business and also have a strong foundation on which to build a career full of interesting development opportunities.
